Low Voltage Contractor for New Construction and Remodels in Virginia

One licensed low voltage contractor for every system in the building: data, voice, Wi-Fi, cameras, access control, AV and structured wiring. CCS works alongside builders, general contractors and electricians from rough-in to trim-out.

Low Voltage Planned Into the Build, Not Added After

The cheapest time to install low voltage systems is while the walls are open. CCS Communications works with general contractors, builders, developers and owners to plan, rough-in and trim out every low voltage system during construction, so the building opens with connectivity and security that work on day one.

Commercial New Construction and Tenant Fit-Outs

We coordinate with your GC and electrician on pathways, telecom room locations, device counts and schedules, then install structured cabling, wireless access point drops, camera and access control cabling, paging and AV during rough-in. At trim-out we terminate, test, label and install devices so the space is ready for occupancy.

Residential New Construction and Remodels

For custom homes and remodels we design and install structured wiring to a central electronics closet: data and Wi-Fi, whole-home audio, home theater, security cameras, floodlights, doorbell cameras and smart home control. Homeowners work directly with our team from the design phase through final walk-through.

Industrial and Specialty Projects

Warehouses, plants and specialty facilities need cabling that stands up to heavy use: tray and conduit runs, industrial-rated cable, outdoor and underground pathways and connections to equipment and control systems.

Why Builders Call CCS

We show up when the schedule says, keep our work organized and inspected, and hand over documentation at closeout. Holding a Virginia Class A contractor license means we can carry the low voltage scope on larger projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most. For anything else, schedule a free consultation.

What counts as low voltage wiring?

Low voltage covers systems that run below 50 volts: data and voice cabling, Wi-Fi, security cameras, access control, alarm, intercom, paging, audio visual, home automation and structured wiring. Electrical contractors typically handle line voltage; CCS handles the low voltage scope.

When should low voltage be planned in a construction project?

As early as possible, ideally during design so telecom rooms, pathways and device locations are on the drawings. At minimum we need to be on site for rough-in before drywall.

Do you work with general contractors and builders?

Yes. Most of our construction work is as the low voltage subcontractor to general contractors and home builders. We also work directly for owners and developers.

Can you wire a home for smart home systems?

Yes. We design and install structured wiring for data, Wi-Fi, audio, video, cameras and smart home control, with everything terminated in a central electronics closet.

Can you add low voltage wiring to an existing building?

Yes. Remodels and occupied buildings are a regular part of our work. We use existing pathways where possible and plan the work to limit disruption.
