Structured Cabling Installation in Virginia
Copper and fiber structured cabling designed, installed, tested and labeled by a licensed Virginia contractor. CCS builds the backbone your network, phones, cameras and access control all depend on, for offices, campuses, plants and government facilities.
Cabling That Is Organized, Certified and Ready to Grow
Structured cabling is the physical foundation of every system in your building: data, voice, Wi-Fi access points, security cameras, door controllers, paging and audio visual. When it is planned and installed properly, moves and upgrades are simple and outages are rare. When it is not, you inherit slow links, mystery cables and downtime nobody can trace.
CCS Communications designs and installs complete structured cabling systems for new construction, renovations and live occupied buildings. We handle everything from the telecom room build-out to the last workstation jack, and every link is tested, certified and labeled before we hand it over.
Copper and Fiber Backbone
We install Category 6 and Category 6A horizontal cabling for workstations, wireless access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones, plus single-mode and multimode fiber backbone between telecom rooms, buildings and data centers. Racks, cable management, patch panels and grounding are built to TIA standards so the room stays clean for the life of the system.
Design to Installation
Our team reviews drawings, walks the site and produces a cabling plan that matches how your facility will actually be used, including pathways, cable counts, rack layouts and room requirements. We coordinate with your general contractor, electrician and IT provider so the work fits the construction schedule and the network goes live on time.
Testing, Labeling and Documentation
Every copper link is certified with a field tester and every fiber strand is tested for loss. You receive labeled jacks and panels, test results and as-built documentation so any technician can work on the system years from now.
Built for Commercial, Industrial and Government Sites
We work in offices and retail spaces, warehouses and manufacturing plants, schools and medical facilities, and secured government environments including SCIFs. CCS holds a Virginia Class A contractor license and is SWaM and WBENC certified.

What is structured cabling?
Structured cabling is a standardized way of organizing the copper and fiber cabling in a building so that data, voice, wireless, security and building systems all run on one managed infrastructure. It is built in defined subsystems (entrance, backbone, telecom rooms, horizontal cabling and work areas) so it can be documented, tested and expanded without rewiring.
Should I install Cat6 or Cat6A?
Cat6 supports 1 Gbps to 100 meters and 10 Gbps over shorter runs, and is still the most common choice for workstations. Cat6A supports 10 Gbps to the full 100 meters and is the better choice for wireless access points, cameras with high power requirements and any space you expect to keep for ten years or more. We will recommend the right mix for your budget and growth plans.
Do you install cabling in occupied buildings?
Yes. Much of our work is in live offices, plants and facilities. We plan the work in phases, protect finished spaces and schedule disruptive tasks after hours when needed.
Do you provide test results and documentation?
Yes. Every copper link is certified with a field tester and every fiber strand is tested for loss. You receive the test results, labeling scheme and as-built drawings when the job is complete.
How much does structured cabling cost?
Cost depends on the number of drops, cable category, run lengths, building construction and whether pathways already exist. We provide a free consultation and an itemized proposal so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
