Commercial Security Camera Installation in Virginia

IP camera systems designed for clarity, coverage and reliability. CCS designs, cables and installs CCTV for businesses, warehouses, campuses, government facilities and homes across Virginia, with recording and remote viewing that actually works.

Camera Systems That Cover What Matters

A camera system is only useful if the right areas are covered, the footage is clear enough to use and the system is still recording when you need it. CCS Communications designs and installs IP video surveillance systems with those three things in mind, for a single storefront or a multi-building campus.

Design and Camera Placement

We walk your property to identify entrances, parking areas, loading docks, cash handling points, server rooms and blind spots, then select camera types and lenses for each location: fixed, varifocal, multi-sensor, PTZ, low-light and license plate cameras as needed. Coverage is planned so you can identify faces and plates, not just see that something happened.

Cabling and Installation

Because CCS is a structured cabling contractor first, every camera gets a properly installed, certified Cat6 or fiber run, weather-rated mounts and clean penetrations. Power over Ethernet simplifies installation and makes future camera changes easy.

Recording, Storage and Remote Viewing

Network video recorders and storage are sized to your retention requirements, and systems are configured for secure remote viewing from a phone or desktop. We can integrate video with access control so door events pull up matching footage.

Commercial, Industrial, Government and Residential

We install camera systems in offices, retail, warehouses, manufacturing plants, schools, medical buildings, secured government facilities and new construction homes. Expansions and upgrades of existing systems are welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most. For anything else, schedule a free consultation.

How many cameras does my business need?

It depends on the size of the property and what you need to see. Most small businesses start with coverage of entrances, parking, point of sale and back-of-house areas. We survey the site and recommend the smallest system that gives you complete, usable coverage.

Do you install IP or analog cameras?

We install IP camera systems. They deliver higher resolution, run on standard network cabling with power over Ethernet, and are far easier to expand and integrate than analog systems. We can also migrate existing analog systems to IP.

Can I view my cameras from my phone?

Yes. Systems are configured for secure remote viewing on phones, tablets and desktops, with user permissions so the right people see the right cameras.

How long is video stored?

Retention is a design decision. We size recorders and storage for the number of cameras, resolution and the number of days you need to keep, commonly 30 days for commercial sites and longer for regulated environments.

Do you install cameras for homes?

Yes. We design and install whole-home security systems for new construction and remodels, including cameras, floodlights, doorbell cameras and a central electronics closet.
